I am making an assumption.
I am assuming that you have a clear idea of the change you want to make.
Do you have the courage and discipline to make that change real?
Do you have the bravery and focus to say “no” to the distractions?
Are you willing to clear away all of the other “stuff” that “needs” to happen to provide the space for the change to be made real?
When you get pressure from other people with alternate agendas, can you protect your team?
Do you have the patience to focus long enough to see whether that change will work?
For most, if I watch behavior, the answer is “no.”
They will say that they want to change. They will claim that they know the change they want to make.
Then, when someone challenges them with something urgent, they turn away and do the easy thing.
No analysis of how that request fits into the vision.
No consideration of how it impacts the people who are trying to help them make that vision real.
And you wonder why you and your team can’t get anything done….
And you wonder why you have no impact….
